COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

Human development has been examined from various perspectives. One of the most fundamental perspectives to study is cognitive development.

As a term, Cognitive development consists of how children think, explore and figure things out.

It is the development of knowledge, skills, problem solving and dispositions, which help children to think about and understand the world. Every motor, emotional, social & cognitive experience-stimulus-information creates new synapses in the brain.

To support the building of a strong brain, we need four strong “areas” (skills): motor, emotional, social & cognitive.

Motor & cognitive development can be examined as two different areas. However, nowadays research showed that there is a strong correlation between them, so it would be best if research was done on both aspects simultaneously.
